After spending part of the morning printing shirts for money, I decided to try finishing my latest edition. Small edition with only two screens I was mostly trying a new location in the house with more room. Haven’t used the kitchen for artwork since I was at UNT.

As I have continued to work on the piece it has become more about the process of constructing my concept. As I tell my students all the time. It is ok to veer off the main sketch concept. Just keep pushing.

Starting a little late but ready to forge ahead. I am going to experiment with geometric shapes as I get back into the swing of things.
After an hour or so, the base is coming together. I am feeling like an artist again.

Starting my summer project of solar plate etchings. Begining with multi colored prints. That means multiple plates with strict registration. Why not go all out difficult. Each layer for each plate will be hand drawn and burned separately.

This worked out great and I have a few students that tested it when I was in Guam. What a great way to test colors quickly and clean up quickly.
