Wow! The Christmas holiday is over and I am starting a new job in Mesquite ISD. I am teaching elementary at two different campuses. However, they are both new buildings with fully stocked art rooms.

OK so now I am trying new things with elementary because I have never done any of this before, with elementary that is. The students are getting used to me and I am really trying to get used to them younger kids have always been a weird thing for me.

I am really amazed by how well my other elementary art teacher friends do this job. At first I was a little leery of how I was going to teach and still get good quality work out of them. I have discovered that these kids really want to do bigger things. That makes it very tough when you only see them once a week. Another bonus is I am only teaching third through sixth grade.

I think it’s going to be a really good experience for me and I already have quite a few fans
